One of the scariest things in battle is to find yourself in enemy territory unexpectedly. Should you hide, sneak along slowly, make a run for it, or try to fight your way through? Even more frightful is if the enemy is alerted to your presence and is actively searching for you. Yep, I wouldn’t want to be in Satan’s shoes.
Yes, you read that right. We aren’t the ones who need to be in defensive posture here…the victory has been won! Why do we shirk and fail to capitalize on the advantage gained by the blood of Christ and the resurrection? Why must we hide behind the walls of our churches and be silent observers while Satan works to wreak havoc in the world and prey on the weak? We have been made “more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” While the outcome is certain, there are precious souls in harm’s way. Rise up and make a difference on the battlefield.
Remember, we are told, “Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” We hereby claim that promise. So, run Satan. Run like the devil, you lying, thieving loser!
Children, you belong to God, and you have defeated these enemies. God’s Spirit is in you and is more powerful than the one that is in the world. I John 4:4
