One of the greatest privileges of publishing Postcards Magazine is watching the communities we serve continue to grow and thrive.

Sometimes growth means new neighborhoods, new businesses, and new opportunities. Sometimes it means finding new ways to serve the readers and advertisers who have supported us for more than 15 years.

This season marks an exciting new chapter for Postcards.

We’re launching the all-new HOMETOWN Edition, created especially for the communities north of Walker County. While those readers will now enjoy a magazine tailored specifically to their hometowns, it also allows us to sharpen our focus here at home.

As our magazine family continues to grow, we’re excited to give the Piney Woods edition an even stronger focus on Walker County. That means more opportunities to highlight the people, businesses, schools, nonprofits, events, and everyday stories that make this community such a wonderful place to call home. It’s a win for Walker County and for the neighboring hometown communities we’re proud to serve.

And there’s even more to be excited about.

Last month, we launched The Weekly Post, our new free email newsletter designed to keep you connected between magazine issues with local stories, recipes, events, and community happenings. If you haven’t signed up yet, I hope you’ll join us.

August also marks the beginning of our annual Postcards Cover Photo Contest. Every year, we’re amazed by the incredible talent throughout our communities, and we can’t wait to see what you capture this year. You’ll find all the contest details on the opposite page.
