Women from throughout Walker County gathered Friday, August 28, for the 2026 Be You Women’s Luncheon, hosted by the Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce and presented by Entergy.

Bowers Stadium, marking the completion of a transformative project that ushers in an exciting new era for Sam Houston State University athletics.

The holiday spirit arrived a little early as CASA of Walker County hosted its 7th Annual Christmas in July Bingo fundraiser at the Sam Houston State University Lowman Student Center Ballroom. Community members filled the room for an evening of festive fun, friendly competition, and a shared commitment to supporting children in foster care.
