The holiday spirit arrived a little early as CASA of Walker County hosted its 7th Annual Christmas in July Bingo fundraiser at the Sam Houston State University Lowman Student Center Ballroom. Community members filled the room for an evening of festive fun, friendly competition, and a shared commitment to supporting children in foster care.

Guests embraced the tropical Christmas theme with colorful Hawaiian shirts, leis, and plenty of holiday cheer while enjoying exciting rounds of bingo, door prizes, raffles, and both silent and live auctions. Throughout the evening, laughter, celebration, and generosity filled the ballroom as supporters came together for one important cause.

This year’s event raised more than $160,000, providing critical funding that allows CASA of Walker County to continue advocating for children experiencing abuse and neglect throughout Walker, San Jacinto, and Trinity Counties. Every dollar raised helps ensure that trained CASA volunteers can remain a consistent voice for children as they navigate the foster care system.

The success of the evening was made possible through the generosity of presenting sponsor Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, along with countless sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community members who gave their time and support.

With another record-breaking year in the books, Christmas in July Bingo continues to demonstrate what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose: bringing hope, stability, and brighter futures to the children who need it most.
