Long before selling boats, Steve grew up helping in his family’s business, Big D Mobile Homes, which served Huntsville families for more than 50 years. When he purchased the former Gullo dealership in 2017 and launched Big D Marine with a Yamaha franchise, he wasn’t just starting a new business. He was continuing a family tradition of treating customers with honesty, hard work, and hometown service.

As America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday in 2026, the spirit of patriotism is already taking root across downtown Huntsville. From storefront windows adorned in red, white, and blue to flags proudly flying above businesses that have served our community for generations, local business owners are coming together to honor our nation’s history and the values that continue to unite us.
